Q: A lyricist? A librettist?
A: Yes. He wrote the book and lyrics for the Broadway musical DRAT! THE CAT! (whose score includes the song "She Touched Me," famously recorded by Barbra Streisand as "He Touched Me".)

Q: A stage director?
A: Once. He was the credited director for his stage play, DR. COOK'S GARDEN, having assumed the post when the show's original director (George C. Scott) exited the production.

Q: Did Ira Levin write the screenplay for the movie version of [insert title]?
A: No. Ira Levin wrote none of the movie adaptations of his works.

Q: Did he write any of those sequels to his works, like Look What's Happened to Rosemary's Baby, The Stepford Children, etc.?
A: The only sequel which Levin wrote was his novel "Son of Rosemary," which is the sequel to "Rosemary's Baby". In fact, he was often heard stating that he was 'in no way responsible' for any of those others! Ditto certain movie remakes...
